All 30+ FAQs
What is MBBS abroad?+
MBBS abroad is an undergraduate medical degree completed at recognized government or leading universities overseas (such as in Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, or Uzbekistan). With government medical seats in India fiercely contested and private college fees often exceeding ₹80 Lakhs to ₹1.2 Crore, studying at accredited universities abroad offers English-medium medical education at significantly lower total tuition.
Is MBBS from abroad valid for practice in India?+
Yes, provided your programme complies with the National Medical Commission (NMC) FMGL Regulations: a course duration of at least 54 months in English medium, an on-site 12-month clinical internship at the same institution, registration rights in the awarding country, and listing in WDOMS. Upon graduating, clearing the FMGE exam grants your Indian medical registration.
Which countries are best suited for Indian medical students?+
The ideal choice depends on your budget, academic record, and clinical priorities. Russia has the longest clinical legacy with century-old state universities. Georgia offers European curriculum standards and safety. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan feature affordable living and direct 3 to 4-hour flights. Nepal and Bangladesh provide curricula nearly identical to India's with disease profiles matching Indian hospitals.
Is the degree globally recognized?+
Degrees from universities recognized in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) allow graduates to pursue postgraduate licensing worldwide, including USMLE (USA), PLAB/UKMLA (UK), and AMC (Australia), following each jurisdiction's standard licensing exam requirements.
Why choose an advisory firm led by doctors?+
Traditional education agents are sales commission-driven and rarely understand clinical rotations, cadaver dissection ratios, hospital patient flow, or FMGE syllabus nuances. Our team consists of practicing doctors who completed foreign medical degrees, passed the licensing exams, and provide candid guidance on what each university actually delivers.
Is NEET qualification mandatory for admission?+
Yes. Under NMC regulations in effect since 2018, every Indian citizen seeking MBBS admission abroad must qualify NEET-UG. A valid NEET scorecard is mandatory to receive an eligibility certificate and sit for the FMGE licensing exam upon return to India.
